Every instrument Saphi issues traces back, hectare by hectare, to a physical signal measured in the forest and a verified record any counterparty can audit.
A biodiversity credit represents a measured, verified gain in the health of an ecosystem, issued per hectare. [5] The difficulty has always been measuring biodiversity continuously and affordably across large, remote terrain. Bioacoustics answers that: a living forest produces a continuous soundscape whose richness and structure correlate with biodiversity. Saphi reads it through established acoustic indices, establishes a baseline, and measures the uplift over time.
The chain, in one line: soundscape → acoustic index → biodiversity baseline → measured uplift → verified record → issued credit → settled value → the community.
